The benefits of avocado pulp

At Caña Nature we offer you avocado pulp with 99% fresh avocado, in a convenient 150 gram pack.

Its flavour is already known by many consumers, who enjoy spreading it on tacos, toast or a sandwich. Of course, it can also be used to accompany all kinds of food, be it meat or fish, or even to make desserts.

The taste of avocado pulp quickly wins over those who try it, but it also has very important benefits that are worth knowing about.

Avocado pulp: What is it for?

Avocado pulp is used as a dip, as a spread, as an accompaniment to dishes or in other recipes. Its culinary value is beyond doubt. But in addition to its contribution in the kitchen, its nutritional benefits are also important.

Avocado pulp contains vitamins from the A, B5, B6, C, D, E and K groups. They are also accompanied by magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, potassium, folate and other minerals. It contains no cholesterol, no sodium and low levels of saturated fats.

This provides extra support for the proper functioning of our bodies and our health in general.

For example, thanks to the concentration of vitamins C and E, it is an excellent antioxidant, as well as helping to regulate neurological levels and cardiovascular health. On the other hand, vitamin D also helps to protect our bones.

This food is rich in oleic acid, a fatty acid that helps regulate cholesterol levels. It even contains folic acid, so it is also recommended to avoid malformations during pregnancy.

Avocado pulp can even help us in a slimming diet, as its high fibre content helps to satiate the appetite, prevents constipation and also regulates blood glucose levels.

Avocado pulp for hair

In addition to the benefits it brings to our body with its intake, avocado pulp can also be used for hair, if we apply it directly as a mask.

With this application, its nutrients are absorbed through the scalp and the micropores in the head. It is especially recommended to treat damaged and weak hair.

With its natural oils the avocado pulp rehydrates the hair strands. It also reinforces the keratin fibres and hair follicles, thus strengthening the hair against problems such as hair loss.

In addition to these benefits, it also serves as a natural conditioner, making hair shiny and softer to the touch.

How to preserve avocado pulp?

Our avocado pulp should be consumed within a maximum of 1 day after opening the packaging.

In any case, you can help to preserve it with a little lemon juice, so that it keeps its colour and texture a little longer. An alternative is also the application of olive oil, which can form a protective film so that the avocado pulp does not come into contact with the air.

With our 150-gram pack it is easier to store it in the fridge, but if you don’t have a fridge you can use a piece of cling film to cover the food, although it is difficult to protect it completely from oxidation with this method.

Is it possible to store frozen avocado pulp?

At Caña Nature we do not recommend freezing guacamole or avocado pulp, it is always preferable to enjoy these products fresh. In any case, it is fine to freeze it, as it is possible to defrost it later for consumption.

Our guacamole, for example, has no water in it, so all the material that is frozen is organic. As a result, we avoid the watery sensation that some foods have when thawed.
