Caña Nature has participated in the 2022 Barcelona Food Fair.

From 4 to 7 April, the “Alimentaria & Hostelco” 2022 trade fair, also known as Alimentarie Fair , was held in Barcelona, in which Caña Nature took an active part.

The importance of the Alimentarie Fair for the sector

 

Expectations for the event were very high and were far exceeded. The Alimentarie Fair reopened its doors after the two postponed editions of 2020 and 2021.

Its return to the Gran Vía venue at the Fira de Barcelona brings back an event that has been held since 1976 and is now recognised as the most important in the food sector in Southern Europe.

Together with Caña Nature, up to 3,000 international companies from 52 countries completed the entire exhibition area (85,000 m2) to show attendees all the products and innovations that consumers can currently enjoy.

On this occasion, Alimentaria teamed up with Hostelco, the International Restaurant, Hotel and Catering Equipment and Machinery Show, to offer an edition which attracted close to 100,000 visitors.

During 4 days of constant activity, from Stand P1-0-C-350, Caña Nature professionals presented the brand’s complete catalogue of products to visitors.

Gazpacho, salmorejo, guacamole, avocado pulp, grated tomato and Mexican sauce were present in their different formats and were also used in a practical way.

With live preparations of different tostas, the attendees were able to see the infinite possibilities that culinary creativity can achieve.

Attractive proposals such as grated tomato toast with frigate tuna, guacamole toast with salmon, avocado pulp toast with goat’s cheese roll toasted with a blowtorch or Mexican sauce toast with lomo de orza, among many others.

For breakfast, as an aperitif, to accompany other dishes or as the main base of a recipe, Caña Nature products offer a gastronomic experience that is always valued for its unmistakable flavour.

This recognition is achieved thanks to the fact that each recipe is made with natural, fresh products, without preservatives or colourings, thus maintaining the natural nutrients of all the ingredients intact.

At the stand, Caña Nature also included the Superior Taste Badge obtained in 2021 by the International Taste Institute in Brussels, awarded to traditional guacamole.

This badge is offered to foods and beverages that stand out, among other factors, for their excellent taste and quality.

The Flavour of the Year 2022 award was also presented to all those attending the Alimentaria Barcelona trade fair, in this case to Caña Nature gazpacho.

To obtain it, 80 consumers tasted the product and gave it a score of 8.6 out of a maximum of 10, based on its organoleptic qualities.

In addition, this product has also been awarded the Flavour of the Year 2022 TOP Innovation seal, for being bottled in 50% recycled PET.
