Seasonal Food Calendar

In Caña Nature you have our complete catalog throughout the year. As they are natural products, depending on the season it is possible that the color of some of the products, such as our fresh gazpacho, may vary. But they always retain their characteristic flavor. Now, there are other foods that are only available or at their optimal point of consumption depending on the time of the year in which they want to be consumed. We tell you all about these «seasonal foods».

What are seasonal foods and why is it good to take them?

They are called seasonal foods, those that are at their best for consumption, both for the intensity of their flavor and for the quality of their nutrients.

In addition to the experience we enjoy at the taste level, consuming seasonal foods allows us to enjoy its greater organoleptic properties.

They are also more affordable, if we choose to consume them at the time of year when they are most marketed, since the offer will be higher than when there is little stock in stores.

Eating seasonal foods is also good for the environment. They reduce CO2 emissions and improve sustainability on the planet. This is because you consume products collected at their best and usually marketed in local businesses.

Energy expenditure on transport, distribution, storage and maintenance is also reduced.

They also represent a more organic crop. Seasonal foods encourage crop rotation and prevent soil impoverishment, as they are in constant use, with the planting of appropriate fruits and vegetables according to each time of the year.
